Moving out of Connecticut
Our pickup coverage includes Hartford, New Haven, Stamford, and Bridgeport. Moving from another community? Give us the actual ZIP code so we can review pickup availability. Delivery is available nationwide, with arrangements confirmed for your destination.
Resolve the gap between lease and move-in dates
For a Stamford or Bridgeport apartment, obtain the building’s loading appointment before setting other travel commitments. If you are leaving a house, show any narrow driveway or entrance instead. Discuss storage when the destination is uncertain rather than treating pickup and delivery as one fixed-day appointment.

CTDOT certificate and damage protection
Connecticut publishes its roster of CTDOT-certified household-goods movers. CTDOT warns that basic damage protection commonly uses 60 cents per pound, so a valuable but lightweight item may have little protection. Put any additional coverage in the contract before signing.
Binding quote or variable estimate
CTDOT identifies volume, staffing, time, weight and equipment as factors that can increase an estimated bill. It recommends requesting a binding quote for a firm price. Establish the inventory and included services before agreeing to that quote.
Extra items on moving day
Connecticut Consumer Protection advises stopping packing and loading if the mover says there are more items than estimated, until you receive a revised estimate identifying the additional items or services and the new price.
