State-to-state moving checklist

As soon as you know you are moving

Start with your addresses, preferred dates, and a room-by-room inventory. Decide what you will take before requesting an estimate so the shipment reflects your plans.

1. Separate belongings you will sell, donate, or keep with you.
2. Check building rules at both addresses.
3. Request your estimate and discuss packing or storage.

Before booking

Review the inventory and included services with our team. Confirm pickup and delivery arrangements, sign the estimate, and pay the 30% deposit toward your moving total.

1. Save a copy of the estimate.
2. Arrange elevator or loading reservations when required.
3. Plan for the time between pickup and delivery.

Three days before your move

Our quality assurance team reviews your inventory again. Add or remove items and discuss any resulting changes to your estimate before moving day.

1. Check rooms, closets, and storage spaces for missed items.
2. Report changes to access or addresses.
3. Finish the packing you agreed to handle yourself.

The night before and moving day

Dispatch calls the night before to confirm your crew's arrival time. Keep essentials accessible and walk through the home with the crew when they arrive.

1. Keep keys, identification, medication, and chargers with you.
2. Clear pathways and arrange care for pets.
3. Check each room before leaving the pickup address.
