Moving out of Florida

Our pickup coverage includes Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale. Moving from another community? Give us the actual ZIP code so we can review pickup availability. Delivery is available nationwide, with arrangements confirmed for your destination.

Check move-out restrictions before setting travel

Ask management which days and hours allow moving, where the truck must load, and what paperwork is due beforehand. Arrange someone to handle the appointment if your personal travel leaves you unavailable. Tell the team when the receiving property will be accessible; your own arrival there is not the shipment’s delivery appointment.

Tools for your Florida move

Your moving estimate, protection and payment

A move entirely within Florida and a move to another state can have different estimate, licensing and protection requirements.

Registration and insurance

Florida Chapter 507 covers moves beginning and ending in Florida and requires FDACS registration. Movers generally need at least $10,000 per-shipment coverage for negligent loss or damage; operators with two or fewer vehicles may use a $50,000 bond or deposit instead. Vehicle insurance is separately required. These are distinct from the valuation chosen for your belongings.

Florida Statutes: Chapter 507

Written estimate and contract

Before moving services begin, Florida requires a written estimate and contract with the parties’ signatures or electronic acknowledgments. Review the services, itemized charges, total cost and accepted payment methods before signing.

Florida Statutes §507.05

Added goods and additional work

If your inventory changes, request an updated itemized agreement before proceeding. Florida’s delivery rules prohibit refusing delivery when the agreed contract amount is tendered. A dispute about extras is not permission to hold the entire shipment; review the statutory delivery and storage protections.

Florida Statutes §507.06

Questions about moving from Florida

What should I prepare for a pickup in Florida?

For a Florida condo or managed community, ask about mover access, elevator windows, and paperwork before pickup. Keep travel plans separate from the shipment schedule, and tell us when someone will be available at the destination.

Do you offer local moving here?

Our service in this area is interstate moving. Local moving is focused on the DMV; contact the team if you are staying within the same state.

How is interstate delivery scheduled?

Our general delivery schedule is 2–10 business days for moves up to 750 miles, 2–14 business days for 751–1,500 miles, and 4–21 business days for 1,501–3,300 miles. Need a fixed delivery date? Ask about our Premium Guaranteed Service.

Is storage available?

Yes. The first 30 days after pickup are free on eligible long-distance moves. After that, storage is $0.50 per cubic foot for each additional 30 days or part of 30 days, with a 300 cubic foot minimum. Flat-rate moves with direct delivery are excluded, and the offer does not apply to local moves.
