Moving out of Georgia
Our pickup coverage includes Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, and Athens. Moving from another community? Give us the actual ZIP code so we can review pickup availability. Delivery is available nationwide, with arrangements confirmed for your destination.
Coordinate property handover with loading
Tell the team about a fixed deadline for returning keys or vacating a storage unit. A managed building may have a loading-dock appointment that ends earlier than your lease does. If the shipment is split between a residence and storage, list the contents and access rules at each location.

Your moving estimate, protection and payment
A move entirely within Georgia and a move to another state can have different estimate, licensing and protection requirements.

DPS certificate and insurance
Georgia’s consumer guidance directs customers to verify a mover’s Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity and insurance before an in-state move. Obtain a written on-site estimate and review the level of loss/damage protection being selected.
Maximum rates for in-state moving
Georgia DPS publishes Maximum Rate Tariff No. 7, effective January 13, 2026, for intrastate household-goods transportation. A maximum tariff is a ceiling for covered charges, not a fixed price for every home or an interstate price schedule.
Inventory changes and a disputed bill
Keep the inventory used for the on-site estimate. Before adding goods or packing, ask how the additional work affects tariff charges and get the revised scope in writing. Georgia DPS handles regulated moving complaints; the consumer protection office handles deceptive practices such as misleading advertising.
