Moving out of Massachusetts
Our pickup coverage includes Boston, Worcester, Springfield, and Cambridge. Moving from another community? Give us the actual ZIP code so we can review pickup availability. Delivery is available nationwide, with arrangements confirmed for your destination.
Check the furniture exit before the packing deadline
For Boston or Cambridge apartments, measure difficult stair turns and identify the entrance through which large furniture originally arrived. Tell the team if a piece needs disassembly before it can leave. Confirm whether packing is your responsibility or part of the requested service, so the loading appointment is realistic.

Your moving estimate, protection and payment
A move entirely within Massachusetts and a move to another state can have different estimate, licensing and protection requirements.
Interstate moving: estimates, inventory changes and shipment protection.
Massachusetts: rules for a move entirely within Massachusetts
DPU licensing and cargo insurance
For a move entirely within Massachusetts, the mover must be licensed by the Department of Public Utilities. Licensed movers carry minimum cargo insurance and file their rates with DPU. Your recovery for damage still depends on the liability agreement you sign.
Estimate versus actual services
DPU explains that an estimate is not a bid or contract. Show the estimator everything to be shipped and review the mover’s tariff. Adding a room of furniture, more boxes or packing can change the work being priced; request a revised written description and estimate before proceeding.
