Define which property is part of the move

Confirm which items will be packed before the crew arrives, particularly when you cannot visit both properties immediately before departure.

Check Michigan credentials as well as federal authority

CVED authority and insurance filings
Michigan’s household-goods application requirements include liability insurance/Form E, cargo Form H, and workers’ compensation or an approved exclusion. Tariff membership is required for travel over 40 miles when not operating under a continuous contract.
Inventory and bill of lading
For point-to-point Michigan moves, State Police recommends an on-site inventory estimate and says the mover must supply the bill of lading before loading. If you add furniture or services, request updated quantities, applicable charges and payment terms before work. Check valuation separately from your homeowner’s insurance.
