Coordinate shared access without losing essentials
Ask whether loading requires a reserved elevator or a particular shared entrance. If you are leaving before another household member, agree on what travels with the truck and what remains accessible. Keep the essentials for the interval between homes outside the shipment, especially when receiving access is not yet confirmed.

MnDOT permit and insurance
Minnesota’s household-goods permit process requires insurer-filed Forms E and H. MnDOT lists $100,000/$300,000 public liability, $50,000 property-damage and $50,000 cargo minimums. The carrier cannot operate until its permit is issued.
A signed inventory adjustment
Minnesota rule 7800.2000 requires a written driver order identifying the items and estimated charges. If added items or other circumstances require a revision at pickup, the adjustment must be recorded on the order and signed by the customer, who receives a copy.
Released value and purchased insurance
The same rule requires disclosure of the released-value limit. When the customer requests and pays for additional insurance, evidence of that coverage must be delivered by pickup. Review this before the goods are loaded, especially for valuable furniture and electronics.
