Moving out of North Carolina
Our pickup coverage includes Charlotte, Raleigh, Durham, and Greensboro. Moving from another community? Give us the actual ZIP code so we can review pickup availability. Delivery is available nationwide, with arrangements confirmed for your destination.
Separate departure readiness from receiving readiness
A closing date at your new home may change even after you have finished packing in North Carolina. Tell the team when possession is confirmed and who can receive the shipment. Include patio, garage, and home-office items early so a late inventory addition does not complicate an already tight move-out schedule.

Your moving estimate, protection and payment
A move entirely within North Carolina and a move to another state can have different estimate, licensing and protection requirements.
Interstate moving: estimates, inventory changes and shipment protection.

C-number and insurance
For regulated in-state household moves, verify the NCUC C-number. The Commission requires auto, general liability and cargo insurance, including at least $50,000 cargo coverage. The valuation option you select determines how a damage claim is settled.
Hourly or weight-and-distance pricing
North Carolina uses hourly rates for moves of 35 miles or less and weight/distance rates for longer moves. The Maximum Rate Tariff sets ceilings; lower rates can be negotiated. It does not set your interstate price.
Addendum when the move changes
Changes to the goods or services need an estimate addendum. A binding not-to-exceed estimate protects the maximum for its agreed scope. For a nonbinding estimate, the customer may request delivery by paying 110% of the estimate and addenda, with the balance within 30 days.
