Show the path out of your Pennsylvania home
Photograph the doorway, stair landing, and loading position as a connected path. If a large piece was brought in through a different entrance, identify that entrance before discussing the crew plan. For a pickup involving both a residence and a storage unit, specify which address has the earlier access deadline.

From customers moving from Pennsylvania
“Honestly, this moving company was such a breath of fresh air! I’ve worked with other movers before and had some pretty horrible experiences — things broken, bad communication, just overall stress. But this time around, I can truly say it was the total opposite. They went above and beyond for us — super flexible, friendly, and professional. They treated my mom (she’s a senior) with so much kindness and respect, which really stood out to me. Our move was no small thing either: Pennsylvania to California, right through a snowstorm, and our stuff was mostly glass — huge mirrors, glass tables, vases, you name it. They wrapped everything so carefully, loaded it all up, and delivered it early without breaking a single item! They didn’t just drop everything off and disappear, either. The team brought every box and piece of furniture right where we wanted it in the new house and were super respectful the whole time. They even followed up afterwards to make sure we were happy with everything, which I really appreciated. After all the nightmare moves I’ve had before, this was such a relief. I’d 100% recommend them to anyone who wants movers who actually care and do things right.”
Your moving estimate, protection and payment
A move entirely within Pennsylvania and a move to another state can have different estimate, licensing and protection requirements.

PUC authority and insurance
Pennsylvania requires in-state household movers to hold PUC authority, maintain insurance and charge approved rates. The PUC’s consumer guidance describes basic protection by item weight; arrange additional protection if that does not suit your belongings.
The 40-mile pricing distinction
The written estimate uses hourly tariff charges for moves of 40 miles or less and weight/mileage charges for longer in-state moves. More items can change the labor or weight being billed, so review the inventory and charge basis before work begins.
Payment when the estimate is exceeded
PUC guidance says that when the actual bill exceeds the estimate by more than 10%, the delivery payment is the estimate plus 10% or $25, whichever addition is greater. The balance is payable within 15 days after delivery. This is not a final-price cap.
