Moving out of New Jersey
Our pickup coverage includes Jersey City, Newark, Hoboken, Trenton, and Princeton. Moving from another community? Give us the actual ZIP code so we can review pickup availability. Delivery is available nationwide, with arrangements confirmed for your destination.
Plan from Newark to the actual New Jersey pickup
Our New York/New Jersey location is at 321 Sherman Ave in Newark. The operating address is not a substitute for your pickup address: Jersey City, Hoboken, Trenton, and Princeton requests need their own access and scheduling details.
For a Jersey City or Hoboken apartment, send management’s loading entrance, elevator window, and insurance requirements. For a detached-home pickup, photograph the approach and identify any separate garage or storage-unit stop. Keep the deadline for vacating your current home separate from the date you can receive delivery.

From customers moving from New Jersey
“I recently moved from New Jersey to South Carolina and used Gorilla Haulers. From the very start, Eli Jones helped me set everything up and made the process easy to understand. He was patient, professional, and always quick to respond to any questions I had. The moving team was incredible on delivery day!”
Your moving estimate, protection and payment
A move entirely within New Jersey and a move to another state can have different estimate, licensing and protection requirements.

New Jersey: rules for a move entirely within New Jersey
Moving and warehouse licenses
New Jersey’s Division of Consumer Affairs licenses in-state movers and warehousemen. PM covers moving, PW covers warehousing and PC covers both. If storage is part of your move, check the license category as well as the moving company’s name.
Survey, tariff and binding price
The mover must survey the goods on site or virtually, provide a completed estimate and supply the state consumer notice. Estimates use the mover’s filed tariff. A binding estimate fixes the agreed cost; include packing, insurance and special handling when establishing what that agreement covers.
Adding items after the survey
For added property or services outside a binding estimate, New Jersey’s rules limit charges to the filed tariff. Ask for a written revision identifying the additions before work starts, rather than treating the original fixed price as covering an unlimited inventory.
New Jersey’s liability floor
New Jersey’s consumer guidance describes a minimum liability limit of $1 per pound per article unless increased protection is purchased. That differs from the federal interstate 60-cent released-value option. Review the insurance and valuation selection on the actual moving contract.
