Moving out of New York
Our pickup coverage includes New York City, Long Island, Albany, and Buffalo. Moving from another community? Give us the actual ZIP code so we can review pickup availability. Delivery is available nationwide, with arrangements confirmed for your destination.
Identify the New York pickup area before comparing estimates
New York City, Long Island, Albany, and Buffalo are different pickup locations, not interchangeable descriptions of one service area. Our New York/New Jersey operating location is in Newark, New Jersey. Give the actual New York address so the team can review the pickup and interstate destination together.
For a city apartment, send the building’s certificate-of-insurance instructions and freight-elevator window before booking. If it is a walk-up, identify the floor, stair turns, and largest pieces. For a house pickup, show driveway access and any additional loading entrance instead of relying on apartment-style instructions.

From customers moving from New York
“Gorilla Haulers helped us move from New York to Maryland with ease and comfort. We didn’t have to do any heavy lifting. They were very professional and friendly. Within hours, all our affairs were in order. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to move locally or long distance. Kudos!”
“Just had to share this. We worked with Eli Jones for our partial move from Plattsburgh NY to Dade City FL. We experienced great friendly communication and thoughtful careful moving guys on both ends of our move. Most of our things are sentimental older things that we love and value and the guys were so very careful. The movers had to traverse stairs on both sides of this move and made it look easy. All the furniture was carefully wrapped and secured. We packed 45 boxes of more family items, including several breakable pieces, framed pictures, (2) large pieces of valuable artwork which they carefully wrapped and crated and lots of my books and all went very well with those too. We can highly recommend.”
“I had a great experience with gorilla moving from New York to North Carolina. They did a great job packing everything up and making sure everything got there in one piece.”
Your moving estimate, protection and payment
A move entirely within New York and a move to another state can have different estimate, licensing and protection requirements.

NYSDOT authority and protection
NYSDOT oversees licensing, safety, insurance, rates and services for in-state household movers. Verify the carrier’s moving authority and have the mover explain its liability for damaged belongings and any additional coverage you select.
An estimate and the delivery payment
NYSDOT cautions that a phone or written estimate is not necessarily the final bill. Review the Order for Service and its delivery payment amount. Packing supplies and optional services need to be discussed; NYSDOT says tape, bubble wrap and similar tools are included in a purchased packing service.
Changes to the shipment
Show the estimator the complete inventory, including storage areas. If you add items or services, ask for the revised scope, tariff charges and payment arrangements in writing before the work. Do not assume a weight-based protection limit equals the purchase price of a television or other lightweight valuable.
