Moving out of Virginia
Our pickup coverage includes Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, McLean, Richmond, and Virginia Beach. Moving from another community? Give us the actual ZIP code so we can review pickup availability. Delivery is available nationwide, with arrangements confirmed for your destination.
Separate Northern Virginia access from statewide pickup planning
Our local DMV service includes Northern Virginia; an interstate pickup elsewhere in Virginia needs its own scheduling review. Tell us whether you are leaving an Arlington apartment, an Alexandria townhouse, or a home in another part of the state before choosing a service.
In Arlington, curbside moving-van placement has a county permit process. Alexandria uses its own temporary reserved-parking process. Use the instructions for the pickup jurisdiction, and check building paperwork and elevator reservations separately.
Tools for your Virginia move
Review estimate factors, measure your inventory, and prepare parking and building paperwork. Local DMV moving is also available; share both ZIP codes to confirm coverage.
On our daily route
Our trucks run between our Chicago, New Jersey, and DC-area bases every day, and down the East Coast to Florida. Most deliveries along this route arrive in under a week.

From customers moving from Virginia
“Gorilla was a huge help in removing debris before our move and then did a terrific job moving is from. Virginia to Ocean City Maryland.”
“Gorilla Haulers completed my long distance interstate move with precision professionalism, and no stress. I needed to move the contents from three separate storage locations around northern Virginia to new home in Florida. Wilson and his crew picked up everything from each location and even provided additional packing to protect my furnishings. Mike and his delivery team showed up within 3 days on time and moved everything into my home in just a few hours either zero damage. I highly recommend Gorilla Haulers. Local company and very professional..”

Authority depends on the service
Virginia DMV issues household-goods carrier authority for in-state moves. A property-carrier permit can also cover household-goods deliveries of fewer than 31 road miles. For longer in-state moves, check household-goods authority rather than assuming a general property permit covers the job.
Insurance and tariff charges
DMV lists $750,000 bodily-injury/property-damage insurance and $50,000 cargo insurance for household-goods carrier authority, with a cargo exception for specified small vehicles. For deliveries over 30 miles, carriers must use their filed tariff. That tariff includes rates, rules and policies; an insurance filing is not a promise to replace every item at full value.
More furniture or services
Ask which tariff items and billing units change if you add furniture, packing or storage. Review those changes against the written estimate before the additional work. A tariff rate, the estimated quantity of work and the protection selected for your belongings are separate parts of the agreement.
